28 degrees but feels like 15 degrees???

Okay here is my number one pet peeve.

You have to understand growing up in Arizona it may get to be 120 outside but they don't say stupid things like "It is 120 degrees but it feels like 140!!" No, when it is 120 degrees it feels like a 120 degrees. They say it like it is.

But here, in IL, it is like they are trying to make it sound better than what it is. Who cares if it is 28 degrees if it feels like it is 15 degrees!! Shouldn't you just go ahead and say it is 15 degrees out if that is what it feels like? Isn't that the whole point of temperature!!!????

All I want to know is what happened to spring?

I would like to know too! We went from winter to summer. We're in the 90s now. Ugh. Not overwhelmingly hot, I mean it maybe feels like 88 :), but come on.

We already hit 98.

Ugh.

Its the humidity & windchill factor. And this is Chicagoland. That's how it goes. It'll probably be 80 in 7-10 days. Don't store your coats until July. You'll need...raincoat, spring jacket, winter coat for the next 2 months.

Let me see... you like being cold, but, really you don't. You don't like being hot, but, maybe yo really do. Hmmm
Besides that it really isn't really hot in Az that much. There have been only a few days in the last 10 years where the temperature exceeded 118 degrees; 115 is pretty toasty but only shows up for a month (or so) in the middle of summer. 108 is just nice (sorta hot until the blood thins to get used to it). And remember the old adage (sp?) IT'S A DRY HEAT! (low humidity ya know.

Now in Chicago, where you have that big lake, Cold is miserable and hot with high humidity is miserable, but ... when is it nice??

all I know is it has alot to do with the humidity and the wind. Now there are times during the monsoon season in Az when 98 feels like 120 because of the humidity. And I am sorry Bill, but 108 is just a little warm for me-have they started the recipes for your back window cooker yet? I do wish the spring would come back-but what the hey-it is spring and unpredictable-even in Kentucky!
